PAI Capital, the consortium hoping to buy West Ham United have released their first full statement since the group's interest was announced.
And in it they claim to have reached a provisional agreement with the LLDC to take "full control" of the London Olympic Stadium. The statement, which comes complete with the backing of brothers Anton and Rio Ferdinand also refers to the possibility of being able to "enhance and maximise usage of the Park both for the benefit of the Club and for the wider east London community."
Yet there is no reference to the playing side of the club, or potentially enhancing the funds available to manager David Moyes for investment in the first team squad.
Edit: An expanded statement on the group's website refers to the possibility of consultation with supporters regarding the purchase of the club - but only once the current owners haver agreed to sell their stake.
"PAI Capital hope to be able to engage positively and openly with the Club’s fans in due course," it stated, "but cannot share details on strategy, vision and budgets until a deal has been concluded with the Club’s current owners."
You may see the full statement below. We'll have more comment on it for you later.
