West Ham United fell to their second successive Premier League home defeat after once again conceding a late goal.

As was the case against Manchester United in their last home league game, the Hammers succumbed to a 2-1 defeat after conceding a late goal right at the death.

Jarrdo Bowen's first goal of the season looked to have rescued a point for the Hammers

On this occasion it was Brentford's Yoane Wissa who delivered the fatal blow with the final whistle just seconds away - a goal that took the newly-promoted side above West Ham in the table.

The visitors had led for much of the game after taking the lead in the 20th minute through Bryan Mbeumo. Jarrod Bowen looked to have rescued a point for David Moyes' side ten minutes from time, but Wissa clearly had other ideas.

The defeat means West Ham have lost both Premier League games following wins in the Europa League 72 hours earlier.
