Michail Antonio is the toast of Jamaica after scoring a wonder goal that secured a draw against the USA in Tuesday night's World Cup qualifier at the National Stadium Independence Park.

Trailing by one goal to nil at the time to an 11th minute Timothy Weah strike, Antonio collected the ball 45 yards from goal before turning and driving towards goal.

After cutting inside, the West Ham hitman looked up before unleashing what was described as "an absolute stunner" from 30 yards that appeared to be still picking up speed as it his the back of goalkeeper Paul Arriola's net.

And with no further goals coming, it was enough to secure a point for the tiny Caribbean island who ended the night in sixth spot and deny the Americans top spot, with the unbeaten Canada - who beat Mexico 2-1 - remaining top of the eight-team group after eight rounds.

Indeed the visitors were lucky not to lose the match having profited from a controversial decision by Costa Rican referee Juan Gabriel, who ruled out an 84th-minute Damion Lowe effort for a foul.

You may see Antonio's wonder strike - his second goal in successive games for Jamaica following his effort against El Salvador at the weekend - below.
