Manuel Lanzini says it was 'good for us' to be able to celebrate West Ham's win with a full house at Stratford.

Restored to the starting XI for today's London derby against Chelsea, the Argentinian scored the first of United's goals in a five-goal thriller edged by David Moyes' side.

And he revealed how delighted he was to be able to celebrate with 60,000 delighted West Ham fans at full time.

“It’s very important for us to have the fans with us and behind us throughout the game," he told West Ham's website.

"Last time we played against Chelsea here and won they were not allowed into the stadium, so it was nice to celebrate with them today. They push the whole team and it’s really good for us that they are here with us.”

And with regards to his 40th-minute spot kick that cancelled out Thiago Silva's opening goal, Lanzini admitted that he felt "confident" before stroking the ball into the left-hand corner of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy's net.

“I just used my concentration for the penalty,” he revealed. “I knew where I wanted to put the ball and I managed to do that. I had confidence in myself to put the ball in the back of the net and I’m glad that I could do that to help the team win today.”

The goal was Lanzini's third goal of the season following efforts against Manchester City and Manchester United, in what was his first Premier League start of the campaign.
