Michail Antonio needs six more goals to become one of West Ham United's top ten, top flight goalscorers in the club's history.

Earlier this season the south London-born striker became the club's highest goalscorer in the Premier League era when he usurped Paolo Di Canio's record of 47.

However the 32-year-old still requires six more goals before he enters the club's all-time record of goalscorers in the nation's highest league, which includes Division One prior to 1992.

With 54 Premier League goals to his name, Antonio - who averages 0.3 goals per game - is just two goals behind Stan Earle (56 from 258 games), who represented the Hammers for eight seasons between 1924 and 1932 in the club records.

And with just two goals more, Earle's team mate Viv Gibbins recorded 58 from 129 appearances between 1923 and 1932 in a team that, quite remarkably, also included West Ham United's all-time record goalscorer Vic Watson (who scored 298 of his 326 goals for the club in the old Division One).

However in order to enter the top ten, Antonio's target is Malcolm Musgrove who scored 59 of his 84 goals in Division One following West Ham's promotion in 1958, five years after he made the first of 282 appearances for the Irons (171 of which were played in the top flight).

The club's top ten, all-time top flight goalscorers are as follows:

1. Vic Watson (1920-35): 298 goals (462 appearances) - 0.65 goals per game
2. Sir Geoff Hurst (1958-72): 180 goals (411 appearances) - 0.44 goals per game
3. Tony Cottee (1982-88 & 1994-97): 115 goals (279 appearances) - 0.41 goals per game
4. Jimmy Ruffell (1921-37): 115 goals (350 appearances) - 0.33 goals per game
5. Martin Peters (1961-70): 81 goals (302 appearances) - 0.27 goals per game
6. Johnny 'Budgie' Byrne (1961-67): 79 goals (156 appearances) - 0.51 goals per game
7. John Dick (1953-63): 77 goals (136 appearances) - 0.57 goals per game
8. Sir Trevor Brooking (1967-84): 74 goals (429 appearances) - 0.17 goals per game
9. Bryan 'Pop' Robson (1970-74 & 1976-79): 70 goals (187 appearances) - 0.37 goals per game
10. Malcolm Musgrove (1953-63): 59 goals (171 appearances) - 0.35 goals per game
