A date has been set for West Ham United's fifth round FA Cup tie at Southampton.

The Hammers were drawn away from home in the next round of the competition having just about seen off the challenge of non-league Kidderminster in the last stage.

It's a return to ST Mary's for West Ham and their fans

And the date for the trip to St Mary's has been set for Wednesday, 2 March - with the game set to be streamed live on TV by the BBC.

As previously revealed here on KUMB, the Hammers beat Southampton on the way to the 1923 and 1975 FA Cup Finals, winning both ties after replays.

The Saints - who last won the competition in 1976, the year after West Ham beat Bobby Moore's Fulham in the Wembley showpiece - made the fifth round courtesy of wins against Swansea Cioty (3-2) and in the last round, 1987 Cup winners Coventry City (2-1).

The two teams have already met twice in the Premier League this season, drawing 0-0 at St Mary's last September before the Saints secured a surprise 3-2 win at the London Olympic Stadium on Boxing Day.

Ticket information will follow shortly; West Ham are likely to be granted an allocation in the region of 5,000.

The full draw for the last 16 is as follows:

Luton Town v Chelsea
Crystal Palace v Stoke City
Peterborough United v Manchester City
Liverpool or Cardiff City v Norwich City
Southampton v West Ham United
Middlesbrough v Tottenham Hotspur
Nottingham Forest or Leicester City v Huddersfield Town
Everton v AFC Bournemouth or Boreham Wood
