Brighton boss Graham Potter says it is "nice" that David Moyes is achieving success at West Ham after a long career.

The Scot has been in management for nearly 25 years and has enjoyed a thoroughly successful season as Hammers boss, having taken the club to the last four in the Europa League and having achieved a second successive top seven finish.

And Potter, whose Brighton team have had a good season themselves and face West Ham in the final round of Premier League fixtures this weekend believes that Moyes has taken West Ham to "another level".

"I think they have done fantastically well since David has gone there," said Potter. "He's done a fantastic job.

"I think the fact that he hasn't really been spoken about this year tells you just how well he did last year and how it's almost become a bit of the norm.

"They still made a semi-final of a major European competition and top seven in the Premier League. Considering when they were when they arrived, he's done a wonderful job.

"Every club is different, every club has their own structure, they have invested over the years but the arrival of David Moyes has taken them on another level. He's done so well.

"I have a lot of respect for him and his career, what he's achieved overall in the game and I think it's nice he's having this period at West Ham and having the success he is."

West Ham, who have failed to beat Brighton since 2012 need to win at the Amex Stadium on Sunday in order to stand a chance of finishing sixth in the Premier League.

Meanwhile Brighton, who are currently 10th in the table, could finish as high as eighth by beating West Ham if results elsewhere go their way. The South Coast club have never finished higher than 15th in the Premier League.
