It has been well documented in recent weeks that West Ham United are monitoring Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis' situation.
David Moyes is keen to land the £20million-valued Dennis now that Watford have been relegated from the top flight and the Hammers are understood to be considering a concrete offer for the player. However what is quite possibly less well known is that the Nigerian international topped last season's Premier League nutmeg charts!
The 24-year-old striker, who joined Watford from FC Cologne in summer 2021 produced an impressive 14 nutmegs throughout the 2020/21 Premier League campaign - three more than his closest rival, Manchester United's Jadon Sancho.
And Dennis' tally was twice that of West Ham's highest performing player Pablo Fornals, with the Spaniard producing a respectable seven nutmegs during the campaign - enough to give him equal fourth spot in the table.
The Premier League's top ten 'completed nutmegs' was as follows, according to statisticians StatsBomb. To qualify, a nutmeg must have been part of a completed dribble event:
1. Emmanuel Dennis (Watford): 14
2. Jadon Sanco (Man Utd): 11
3. Francisco Trincao (Wolves): 9
4. Pablo Fornals (West Ham Utd): 7
4. Alex Iwobi (Everton): 7
4. Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea): 7
4. Harry Kane (tottenham): 7
4. Hwang-Hee-Chan (Wolves): 7
4. Joao Cancelo (Man City): 7
4. Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace): 7
