It's with an eye firmly on West Ham's attacking options that we round up the latest transfer rumours from around Europe today.

With the transfer window having opened on Friday supporters are naturally impatient for concrete news regarding new arrivals. Until that happens, we'll continue to bring you the latest gossip from around the globe concerning potential incomings and outgoings...

Christian Kouame (Fiorentina)

The Ivory Coast international enjoyed a productive season on loan with Jupiler Pro League outfit Anderlecht for whom he scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists in 36 appearances.

And Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claim West Ham have made contact with the Serie A side regarding a potential move for the 24-year-old, who was close to joining Crystal Palace three years ago before suffering serious injury.

Standing 6'1" tall, Kouame - who is under contract with Fiorentina until 2024 - is also said to be interesting Italian side Atalanta and Anderlecht's Belgian rivals Club Brugge.

Giovanni Simeone (Cagliari)

Another who spent the 2021/22 campaign on loan striker Simeone, 26, hit 17 goals and provided four assists in Serie A for Verona in who plan to keep the player - if they can produce the requisite €10million needed to make his move permanent.

However his parent club are reported by to be considering starting a bidding war for Simeone, who is currently rated at around the €15million mark. Arsenal are also said to be watching the situation carefully, with view to making a potential offer.

Stephy Mavididi (Montpellier)

French media outlet L'Equipe have revealed how the English-born striker, once of Arsenal has requested a return to England this summer - with the Ligue 1 side's president Laurent Nicollin having confirmed his club won't block any potential deal should that satisfy all parties.

Mavididi, who can also operate in wider attacking areas has been watched recently by West Ham and fellow EPL clubs Everton and Southampton, amongst others. He scored eight goals in 30 appearances during the 2021/22 campaign for La Paillade.

Hakan Calhanoglu (Inter)

First linked with a move to West Ham back in 2019 when at Inter's great rivals AC Milan, the Turkish international has enjoyed a successful season at the Giuseppe Meazza/San Siro where he was responsible for eight goals and 13 assists.

Calhanoglu, who is rated around the €30million mark is on the radar of Uniteds West Ham and Newcastle according to Sport Mediaset, who insist the Serie A side would be willing to listen to reasonable offers for the 71-times capped attacking midfielder.

Marc Roca (Bayern Munich)

The 25-year-old is set to "snub" West Ham's advances and agree a deal with fellow Premier League side Leeds report Caught Offside. The Hammers had been keen to sign the Spanish midfielder, who has been told he can leave the Bundesliga club but appear to have missed out.

Spanish daily Marca believe the deal will be worth around €15m for a player West Ham were said (by the same source) to value at no more than €10m.

Joakim Maehle (Atalanta)

We reported how West Ham representatives were among the scouts present at the recent Nations League tie between Denmark and Austria - and the Daily Star believe the Danish defender was one of the players being monitored.

The full back, 25, moved to the Italian club during the 2021 winter transfer window for a fee of €10m and featured against West Ham in last summer's Betway Cup clash which David Moyes' side won 2-0.

* As for potential outgoings, The Sun report that Arsenal have contacted West Ham regarding the availability of new England international Jarrod Bowen - while Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers is said to be considering a move for Said Benrahma, who has been told he can leave the club.

Meanwhile Tottenham are said to be interested in Tomas Soucek, whose contract negotiations with West Ham remain ongoing amid rumours that the Czech may be allowed to leave for the right offer.
