West Ham's front men were in goalscoring form as the Hammers got off to a decent start in their Conference League campaign.

Gianluca Scamacca, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio all scored their first goals of the campaign as the Hammers downed the Danish side at a half-full London Olympic Stadium.

And David Moyes men will now be confident of completing the job when they travel to Scandinavia for the second leg seven days from now.

New signing Scamacca opened the scoring when powerfully nodding fellow recent arrival Maxwel Cornet's cross in the 24th minute to break the deadlock - the only goal of a quiet first half.

The lead was doubled on 64 minutes when Bowen, who had been out of sorts during West Ham's opening two games of the Premier League campaign found the target from some distance.

There was a scare for West Ham just five minutes later when, to the delight of the 700 travelling Viborg fans, the visitors halved the deficit with a Bonde effort.

But after a few nervous moments West Ham's win was sealed when substitute Michail Antonio turned home a low cross from Said Benrahma from close range to restore United's two-goal advantage ahead of the second leg.
