Julian Dicks is on his way back to England after agreeing to join Slaven Bilic at Watford.

The two former Hammers previously worked together at West Ham - as players in the mid-1900s and during Bilic's spell in charge of the club between 2015 and 2017 - plus at West Bromwich Albion from 2019 to 2020.

And they are set to team up for a FOURTH time after Dicks accepted Bilic's offer to join his team of backroom staff at Vicarage Road.

Dicks, who has been working in the United States since being confirmed as the Technical Director of youth club Carolina Velocity FC will begin work at Watford later this week after parting company with the North Carolina-based club.

KUMB reported last month how Bilic had reached out to his former team mate and coaching assistant, asking that he join him at the Championship club where he has been in charge since September.

"I enjoy working with him and he is very important for me," Bilic said when asked about reports suggesting Dicks may join him at Vicarage Road.

"We are lacking one guy when we do the sessions and Jules was always part of my staff when working in England. It’s about technicalities, those little details, but the goodwill is there from both sides. The sooner the better, I miss him."

Velocity are understood to have allowed Dicks to leave due to an option in his contract which indicated that he could return to England should a suitable offer be made.
