A Said Benrahma penalty was enough to secure a point for West Ham and lift the club out of the relegation zone.

Saturday's results saw the Hammers slip back into the bottom three of the table - but it was for less than 24 hours, following this afternoon's stalemate in Stratford.

After a decent start the Hammers fell behind once again when Olly Watkins nodded the visitors ahead in the 17th minute.

However the Hammers were back on level terms just nine minutes later when Lucas Paqueta earned a penalty that the Algerian international slammed into the top of the net.

The point lifts West Ham back above Bournemouth into 17th spot in the Premier League. Aston Villa remain 11th in the table.
