West Ham's Czech contingent have thanks the supporters of West Ham for sticking with them during a difficult season.
Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal returned to Prague, where they both began their football journeys, to help West Ham land the Conference League trophy courtesy of a 2-1 win against Fiorentina. And the two Czech Republic internationals featured for the full 90 minutes of regulation time as David Moyes' side won the game through goals from Said Benrahma (from the penalty spot) and Jarrod Bowen.
"It was a special moment to remember," wrote midfielder Soucek, who was close to winning the game with a header before Bowen struck the fatal blow seconds from the end of normal time.
"Thank you for all the support in England, the Czech Republic and all over the world. I am happy to join the West Ham family and make history at this club forever.
"I have an incredible memory of lifting the trophy at my home stadium in Prague."
Meanwhile Soucek's compatriot and West Ham's right back Coufal added: "We are making a history. It's not bad at all to be part of this club forever!
"We have done it. It's still difficult to realise what we’ve achieved. I have a lack of words to describe my emotions after the final whistle but this trophy will stay with us forever. Enjoy!"
