UEFA charge West Ham with double offence

West Ham United have been charged with two offences by UEFA in the wake of Wednesday night's UEFA Conference League Final.

The club have been hit with the charges by the European body as a result of the objects thrown onto the pitch during the first half and numerous pitch invasions both during and after the game.

The club have been charged with 'Invasion of the field of play' (Art. 16(2)(a) DR) and the 'Throwing of objects' Art. 16(2)(b) DR.

Meanwhile West Ham's opponents Fiorentina, who were beaten 2-1 on the night, also have to face a double charge.

The Serie A side have also been charged with the 'Throwing of objects' and the 'Lighting of fireworks', which is strictly prohibited by UEFA as indicated on the group's app.
