Jarrod Bowen has left the England training camp after picking up a knock during international duty.

The West Ham winger, who was an unused substitute when the Three Lions beat Malta on Friday night picked up what has been described as "a minor knee injury".

And as a result he did not travel to Noth Macedonia with the rest of the squad for Monday's night Euro qualifier.

Asked about Bowen's position, England boss Gareth Southgate said: "We felt better to leave him in England so that he can get it properly assessed.

"I don’t think it’s going to be anything serious, but we just didn’t have enough time and we wouldn’t take a risk with that player.”

New of Bowen's injury - and that of Michail Antonio - comes on the same day that the BBC published an article in which West Ham were shown to have suffered the fewest injuries out of all the 20 Premier League clubs thus far this season.
