Conor Coventry has completed a permanent move to Championship side Charlton Athletic - thus ending his 13-year association with West Ham.

And following weeks of speculation regarding his future, the Irish international has opted to remain in the capital by joining The Addicks.
"The vision of the gaffer and the people behind the scenes with where they want to take the club [attratced me]" he told Charlton's website. "I’m from London so I know what this club means to people and the size of it.
"I’m really looking forward to buying into what is going on here and being a part of it."
Charlton manager Michael Appleton, who previously worked with Coventry during a loan spell added: "I'm delighted we've been able to sign Conor. He's someone that quite a few years ago I took on his very first loan at Lincoln. To be able to be reunited with him on a permanent deal I'm delighted with.
"He's very, very comfortable on the ball and knows his position really well. He's a good passer of the ball, with good technique, and he's got a steeliness to him as well which I like - a bit of nastiness to him. He's one who lives his life right and is a proper professional."
Coventry made his senior debut for The Hammers in September 2018 as a substitute in the 8-0 mauling of Macclesfield Town in the Carabao Cup. He made his Premier League debut on the opening day of the 2022/23 campaign against Manchester City and featured on five occasions in last season's Conference League campaign.
Everyone at KUMB would like to wish Conor the very best of luck at Charlton.
