West Ham Utd 0-6 Arsenal

West Ham fell to their biggest home defeat since Christmas 1963 after going down 6-0 against Arsenal.

The Hammers, still without a win in 2024 were humiliated in front of their own fans against an Arsenal side who in turn secured their biggest ever away win in the Premier League.

And perhaps the greatest surprise, given the final score is that it took the visitors more than half-an-hour to break the deadlock - the opening goal coming from William Saliba on 32 minutes.

Inexplicably, the Hammers then conceded THREE goals in the final six minutes of the opening half; the first of those coming from the penalty spot after Alphonse Areola brought down an advancing Bukayo Saka who picked himself up to double the visitors' lead.

Four minutes later it was 3-0 and game over when Gabriel struck - yet there was still time for Mikel Arteta's side to add a fourth before the half time interval, with Trossard bagging his second goal in successive games.

Saka scored his second 18 minutes after the restart and Declan Rice - of all players - added insult to injury by making it 6-0 with 65 minutes on the clock.

Fortunately for West Ham, who barely laid a glove on Arsenal and came away with an xG of 0.31, there were no further goals to follow in the remaining 25 minutes.

However it promises to be a very uncomfortbale week for David Moyes, who will no doubt be subject to plenty of hard questions following this disastrous performance.
