West Ham United's Emerson Palmieri has been named by statistical site whoscored.com as the Premier League's Player of the Week.

The Italian international put in a solid performance against Brentford on Monday night and managed to cap his performance with the best goal of a six-goal thriller at the London Olympic Stadium.

And as a result of his efforts - and that fantastic, 69th minute, 20-year drive - Emerson has been duly recognised.

With four key passes, no fewer than five interceptions plus one spectacular goal the full back was the only player to earn a perfect 10 this week from WS - who also named Emerson's team mate and hat-trick Jarrod Bowen in their 'top five leagues' Team of the Week, which you may see below.

And in addition to the aforementioned Bowen and Emerson, Vladimir Coufal - who provided the assist for Bowen's second goal of the night against Brentford - also makes WS's Premier League Team of the Week, with a rating of 7.7.
