West Ham are closing in on the double signing of Kyle Walker-Peters and Wolves skipper Max Kilman.

The Southampton full-back - currently represented by CAA Base, who also represent a number of United's Academy players - was the subject of a recent offer from West Ham, who are attempting to secure a 'flavour of the month' swap deal involving midfielder Flynn Downes plus cash.

Meanwhile the Hammers are currently renegotiating with Wolves after seeing their initial £25million offer for 27-year-old Kilman instantly rebuffed by the West Midlands-based outfit.

Both players are understood to be willing to move to east London should the clubs reach agreement over finances.

* In other transfer news, West Ham have asked Newcastle for permission to speak to veteran striker Callum WIlson, who has 12 months remaining on his current contract at St James Park. The 32-year-old is likely to be available for a cut-price fee given his contract situation.

Meanwhile Julen Lopetegui's pursuit of young Juventus forward Matias Soule has also been greenlighted by the player's current club.

Initial discussions are understood to have been held with view to a permanent transfer for the 21-year-old Argentine winger, who is valued around the €40million mark and spent last season on loan with Frosinone.

Finally, French outlet L'Equipe report that West Ham have tabled a €35million offer for defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

The 24-year-old centre half arrived at Nice in 2021 having failed to make the grade at former club Barcelona, who sold him to the Ligue 1 club for €8.5million plus €7million in add-ons.
