West Ham United have agreed to loan James Ward-Prowse to Nottingham Forest - allowing the club to complete the capture of PSG midfielder Carlos Soler.

The former Southampton man is set to move to the City Ground for the season, although KUMB understand the contract does not include any obligation to make the deal permanent next summer.

And Ward-Prowse's impending departure frees up a squad space for Spanish international Soler, who will undergo a medical later today.

29-year-old Ward-Prowse joined West Ham a year ago this month in a £30million deal.

He featured in every Premier League game last season under David Moyes, but has been sparsely used by Julen Lopetegui since the Spanish Head Coach arrived at the club.

Soler, who will join on loan with an option to buy made a total of 26 appearances for the French champions during the 2023/24 campaign, including tw in the Champions League.
