Tomas Soucek's second half strike was enough to ensure West Ham's unbeaten run away from home in the Premier League this season remains intact.

The Hammers, trailing after less than 40 seconds to Brian Mbuemo's first minute strike - Brentford's THIRD opening minute goal in as many games - struggled at times despite seeing plenty of the ball and frequently looked short of invention in the final third.

However Soucek's stumbling snapshot, eight yards from goal and nine minutes after the restart, ensured West Ham's away record remained intact - in stark contrast to the club's current home form.
