Both Mohammed Kudus and West Ham United have been hit with additional charges in the wake of the recent London derby with Tottenham.
Kudus, who was initially banned for three matches has seen his suspension increased by two games to five matches, meaning in addition to this weekend's visit of Everton he will also be forced to sit out the games against Newcastle and Arsenal. And in addition to Kudus' extended ban, West Ham have also been fined £30,000 - a figure determined by "an independent Regulatory Commission".
"West Ham United and Mohammed Kudus have been sanctioned in relation to incidents during their Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 19 October," read the FA's website. "It was alleged that the club failed to ensure their players didn’t behave in an improper and/or provocative and/or violent way around the 82nd minute.
"It was also alleged that Mohammed Kudus acted in an improper manner and/or used violent conduct after the offence that he was sent off for. The forward admitted to this charge, and he has been given a two-match suspension and £60,000 fine by the Regulatory Commission. "
West Ham have responded to the news by registering their unhappiness at the extra charges. "Whilst the club is disappointed with the outcome, it respects the process that has been undertaken," read a brief statement. "West Ham United will be making no further comment."
Meanwhile opponents Tottenham Hotspur have also been fined £20,000 for their part in the incident which followed a heated exchange during the match last month at White Hart Lane.
