Former Hammers midfielder Martin Allen was known to friends, colleagues and Hammers supporters as 'Mad Dog' for good reason.
And Allen, now 59, was living up to his nickname this morning as he followed through on a promise to jump into the River Thames should West Ham win at Newcastle last night.Thanks to goals either side of the half time interval from Tomas Soucek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka at St James' Park, the Hammers returned to London with all three points in the bag.
And true to form Allen - who had promised Notts County podcast Magic Circle that he'd enter the freezing cold river upon Julen Lopetegui's side upsetting the odds - stripped off before diving into the Thames.
