West Ham United have revealed that fans who renew their season tickets before the end of the month can nominate two friends to jump the waiting list queue.
The club have consistently stated previously the best way to be allocated a season ticket is to join the club's waiting list, which it was previously claimed contained several thousand names.However that is apparently not now the case, following the launch of the new scheme which provides an opportunity to circumnavigate the list - with other benefits added, to boot.
"For 2025/26, men's team season ticket holders who renew before 31 March will also benefit from an exclusive seat relocation window, as well as the ability to buy up to two additional season tickets for friends and family before we offer vacant seats to our waiting list," read a statement published on the club's website earlier today.
"Additionally, early renewers will gain a bonus three loyalty points."
In addition to the above revelation, some members of the Fan Advisory Board (FAB) - who KUMB have spoken to since the announcement was made - have claimed they were completely unaware of the new policy.
That follows an announcement by the club a week ago today, in which it was stated: "We will continue to work closely with the FAB on all issues which impact supporters, including the club’s ongoing strategy and objectives."
West Ham fans previously paid a small annual fee (£10) to be a member of the waiting list. In February 2018, Karren Brady claimed the list contained the names of 45,000 supporters.
