El Diabolico ended as widely predicted, in a stalemate following 90 minutes of insipid, dull football. Slightly more entertaining than the match itself, the views of N17's finest await you in this week's OV... enjoy.
"There was nothing at stake and the football reflected that. There was a few flashpoints but very tame considering it was a London derby. The songs were ringing out from our supporters - mostly 'Spurs are on there [sic] way to Bilbao'. We scored early and there was a chorus of 'We're winning away - How shit must you be we're winning away'. The rest of the singing were the usual songs. West Ham equalised and their fans burst into song. I thought we did enough to win the game but a draw is a fair outcome."
- Kevin Ball
"They should have just decided at start of the second half to do the snooker equivalent of re-rack but not actually started again."
- Maureen
"A game I was convinced we’d lose tbh so… Meh."
- The Absolute GOAT
"Not great but at least more solid than recent rotated teams. Bowen goal was the only mistake and chance we gave up in the game. Tel had one assist but should have had two with that pass to Richy. Had a decent chance to score as well. Probably shaded the game and could've won it. Turd game tho. Neither team really in any kind of shape."
- Richard Arlison
"That was a terrible game. You can see why both teams are sitting where they are. At least we didn’t lose."
- KirstyG
"The most predictable draw between two crap teams in some time."
- Stag
"Just woken up for the deep sleep that game put me in. It was a far cry from a usual Spurs v West Ham game. Two really poor sides, that looked like they had forgotten how to play football."
- Wearegoingtowintheleague
"Possibly the worst game of football I've ever seen at this level."
- Erni_COYS
"First game I've ever seen where BOTH sets of supporters start leaving with 10 minutes to go."
- Fergus
"Garbage game. Instantly forgettable. Both teams no threat whatsoever. Bring on Thursday."
- LEGO Boy
"Anyone remember football? Nostalgic, I know."
- Furball man
"If that game was a book, it would be called 'challenging wanks'."
- peter merison
"A very scrappy game especially in the second half. Given the circumstances I’ll take the draw at their place. Conceding their equalizer means we’ve given up 26 points from winning positions. That sums up our season; a lack of grit and nous to hold on to what we’ve got. If we’d held on to keep half of those points the season would have a much more positive vibe about it."
- DenverSpur
"Expected us to lose this one, especially given Thursday's game upcoming. On the positive side, it's one game closer to the end of the season."
- Steve007
"I feel like our midfield collapses easier than a fukkin trade tower..."
- guyt2030
"What an abject, underwhelming spectacle that was. Two bald men fighting over a comb. Levy should be ashamed that he has turned Poch's team into this. Spurs are currently where they deserve to be in the league."
- Kosher Kid
"They're both relegation level teams. Only saving grace is that So'ton, Leicester and Ipswich been atrocious. Won't be the case next season with Leeds and Burnley."
- Jaynola
"Great away point fighting for the 16th place."
- Nabil Bentaleb
"Ange has got that about right to be honest. Rested everyone that is key for Thursday for the full 90 minutes, got a point at a place where we have quite a poor record. I would have taken that this morning."
- Crockett
"One of our top performances of the season, unlucky not to bag all three points."
- Hrytn
"I'm just satisfied we didn’t lose for once. Onto Thursday."
- Albertbarich
"That was horrendous. Win or lose the Europa, Ange has to go. No excuse for such an insipid performance. Pattern of play? Don’t think Ange has ever heard of it."
- Lickher
"Us getting an away point is actually okay. That's now a two-gane unbeaten run. We are on a roll. That's what Postecoglou has meant all along..."
- Notabadsquad
"Awful game played by two teams with nothing to play for. We had two shots on goal."
- Dillspur
"Thank God we didn’t give Potter the keys post Brighton or Chelsea cause he looks absolutely figured out. Innovative ideas that have become outdated within two seasons then on top of that, any success at Brighton looking undermined by their continued improvement since he left. If he doesn’t deliver at West Ham quickly next season his career is really at risk of totally fizzling out."
- jakuba
"Expected a loss, so the point to keep us above them is a bonus. Have to say that’s one of the worst games of football I’ve ever seen. My god West Ham are awful. At least we had our second string out and the excuse that we’ve got a huge match Thursday."
- G Ron
"Unbeaten against West Ham this season.... Is there a trophy for that?"
- 1882
"You couldn’t make it up. I thought I’d put a cheeky £5 accumulator on today. Rangers to draw with Celtic, Newcastle to draw with Brighton, Real Madrid to win at home, Chelsea to beat Liverpool and for the fifth selection I went for West Ham to beat Spurs. It would have won me £385. Based on our current form in the league and how I thought Ange would prioritise I thought that was the one that would have been most likely to come in - as it was, them not losing lost me the bet..."
- 1882andallthat
"If Bowen played for Woolwich he would be rated like Saka. He is an outstanding player in a really shit team."
- Tomo
"Why did Bowen get away with throwing an overhand right on Bissouma today?"
- Richard Arlison
"Seems the penny finally dropped a little while ago that playing all-out attack in the exact same style every week wasn't going to win us the league after all. Who could have known, eh?! Not losing to West Ham is always commendable though and not picking up any more injuries to key players before Thursday was the main aim of the game here."
- Sarsipius
"Heard some boos at the whistle - I can only assume those are the neutrals who got tickets for the game."
- Bluto Blutarsky
"All I can say is that WHU must be atrocious if they can't beat us!"
- Mrs Perryman
"If that second half got any more exciting, a funeral was gonna break out."
- DiamondLites
