West Ham United have confirmed that veterans Aaron Cresswell, Lukasz Fabianski, Vladimír Coufal and Danny Ings will be leaving the club upon the expiry of their contracts at the end of the season.
The experienced quartet, all of whom played a valuable role in West Ham's run to the final of the 2023 Conference League Final have a combined age of 139 and have mustered just shy of 1,000 appearances between them (Cresswell 366, Fabianski 215, Coufal 177 and Ings 72).
However Michail Antonio, who has been out of action since being involved in a major car accident last year is expected to be rewarded with a new contract, despite having not played since the beginning of December.
"The four members of our 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League-winning squad all played their part in one of the most successful periods in West Ham United’s history, and will depart having made a combined total of more than 800 first-team appearances between them," read a statement posted on the club's website.
Graham Potter, who has worked briefly with the four players added: " “Aaron, Lukasz, Vladimír and Danny have been a pleasure to work with in my time here so far - all brilliant professionals on and off the pitch, with fantastic experience in the Premier League, and clearly loved and admired by their team-mates and everyone here.
“We still have three important matches to play this season, and I know that their focus will be 100% on helping the team in any way they can in those games, but we felt it was important to confirm this news now, out of respect for them and the service they have given to the club, and to allow our supporters to show their appreciation at our final home match of the season.”
Cresswell, the longest serving of the four players set to depart joined West Ham in July 2014, a £4million signing from Championship side Ipswich Town. Fabianski, who cost £7.2million from relegated Swansea City arrived four years later in the 2018 summer transfer window.
The popular Coufal arrived shortly after fellow Czechia international Tomas Soucek, a £5.5million signing from Slavia Prague in October 2020. Finally Ings, the most recent of the four to join West Ham cost the club £12million in January 2023.
