West Ham returned to winning ways at Old Trafford with a comfortable victory against Europa League finalists Manchester Utd.
Without a win since defeating Leicester 2-0 back in March, some nine matches ago, the Hammers strolled to victory against a disappointing home side on a rare sunny day in Manchester.New father Tomas Soucek, restored to the starting XI opened the scoring for the Hammers with 26 minutes on the clock; the Czechia international steering home Mo Kudus' low centre from the left to give Graham Potter's side a slender half time advantage.
And Kudus was involved again in the build-up for the second, decisive goal 12 minutes after the restart. His deflected shot fell to former Mancunian Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who squared the ball for skipper Jarrod Bowen to striker into the bottom corner and give the Hammers what proved to be an unassailable lead.
