Manuela Pavi's Colombia produced a ruthless attacking performance to crush Bolivia 8–0 in last night’s Copa América Femenina group match.

The win leaves them second in Group B and needing just one point from their final game against Brazil to guarantee qualification.

The scoring began early with captain Daniela Montoya firing home twice, in the 9th and 33rd minutes. Mayra Ramírez added a powerful header in between (13 minutes), before an own goal from Bolivia’s Anabel Flores made it four (37).

Just before the break, Linda Caicedo slotted home (43rd minute) to give Colombia a huge 5–0 lead at half-time.

11 minutes after the restart Wendy Bonilla made it 6-0 with a close range finish, followed by a goal from defender Jorelyn Carabalí (70), who powered in from a corner. Substitute Valerín Loboa (90+3) completed the rout with a composed finish in stoppage time.

West Ham United’s Pavi - one of only three starting outfield players not to get on the scoresheet! - played a quiet but crucial role in the Colombians dominant display. Operating out wide, she helped stretch Bolivia’s defence with her runs and contributed to her team’s passing combinations.

With this emphatic victory, Colombia now sit top of Group B with seven points and a goal difference of +11 - all of which means a draw against Brazil in their final group game will confirm their place in the semi-finals.
