West Ham United's third choice goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has left the club having secured a permanent contract with Cypriot club Aris Limassol.
The Hammersmith-born stopper, 34, joined the Hammers as back-up in June 2024 but failed to make a single competitive appearance for the Hammers during his year-long stay at the club.
And it was confirmed on Tuesday morning that the former Sheffield United star has signed a two-year contract with the current Cypriot league leaders.
"Aris Limassol announces the signing of English goalkeeper Wes Foderingham on a two-year contract," read a brief statement on the club's website confirming the news. "The 34-year-old arrives on a transfer with no fee involved from West Ham United.
"We warmly welcome Wes Foderingham to our club and wish him every success."
The news was also confirmed by West Ham, who added: "He will now continue his career in a new country with Aris, who finished second in the league last term. Everyone at the club would like to thank Wes for his contribution and wish him every success for the future."
It has since been speculated that Lukasz Fabianski, who left the club at the end of his contract in June could make a surprise return to replace Fotheringham as third-choice goalkeeper.
