Former Hammer Don Hutchison says West Ham would be foolish not to sell Niclas Fullkrug in the January transfer window.
In recent days the German international's future has been the subject of much speculation, following the news that he would be allowed to move on if a sufficient offer for his services was made. And having spent much of his time at West Ham in the treatment room, the club are happy to listen to offers from interested parties such as Serie A's AC Milan - as they should be, says Hutchison, who spent two spells at the club in the 1990s and 2000s.
"I mean, it's an absolute no-brainer," began the former Scottish international. "Fullkrug's not been fit. I’d love to have his agent. How has he gone from not getting a game at West Ham to getting a move to AC Milan?
"I mean, he will be the luckiest man on the planet if he leaves West Ham reserves or the treatment table to go and sign for Milan. I mean, it's incredible. So to answer your question, a zillion percent. Do the deal."
Meanwhile Hutchison believes a mooted move for Real Madrid youngster Endrick, for the second half of the season, would secure a more than capable replacement for Fullkrug.
"I think it would be a good move for West Ham, if it’s possible," added Hutchison. "He's a strong boy. You look at the physicality. He’s stocky and he's strong - although he needs to be given time, which is hard in the Premier League.
"He might be better off going to Sociedad like Isak Odegaard did. Sometimes it pays to stay in La Liga, but you go and play every single week, build your strength, lungs and legs up. You get your confidence, goals and your mentality and bring it up that way.
"What you wouldn't want to do is bring him to West Ham or a team in the Premier League that are in a relegation fight, where you haven't got time to play them every single game, because you might be losing games along the way. You haven't got time to bed these young kids in.
"So if I was Endrick, I'd be looking at a short-term move in La Liga to try and play every single week to then have the potential to either move to England or back to Real Madrid. That being said, it’s a move that I would fully endorse for the Hammers."
