Billy Bonds, who died yesterday at the age of 79, was a deeply private, family man who rarely spoke to the media.

However in 2013, Bill agreed to break with tradition and give an exclusive interview to the KUMB Podcast, hosted at the time by Chris Scull and James Longman.

The interview, which spanned two episodes of series 2 of the KUMB Podcast, resulted in Bonds opening up for the first time ever about his relationship with former best man and friend Harry Redknapp, who succeeded Bonds as manager of West Ham in 1994.

He also shared his thoughts about Keith Hackett, the referee of the infamous 1991 semi final against Nottingham Forest, his 20-year playing career, his time as manager of West Ham United and the impending move - as it was at the time - to the Olympic Stadium.

You may listed to both parts of our exclusive Podcast with Billy Bonds below. You may view all archived episodes of the KUMB Podcast here.
