West Ham United youngster Callum Marshall has joined German second tier outfit VfL Bochum on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Marshall, 21, has made two fleeting appearances for the first team season with substitute spots against Arsenal and Brentford. However the club have determined that his development will be better served by playing regular first team football, hence his move to the Bundesliga's second division.
The news was confirmed by the German club's website, who hailed Marshall's arrival as "winter signing number two".
"VfL Bochum have signed Callum Marshall from West Ham United," read a brief statement. "The Northern Ireland international will be on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season. At VfL, he will wear the shirt number 16."
