All but three of West Ham United's home matches at the London Olympic Stadium in the opening half of this season have resulted in an attendance figure at least 10,000 shy of capacity, KUMB can reveal.

Of the eight matches staged at the Stratford arena between August and 13 December, only two - the games against Chelsea in the first home fixture of the campaign and Liverpool - saw an actual attendance over and above 53,000, according to figures provided to KUMB via a Freedom of Information request.

Meanwhile the home fixture with Tottenham, traditionally a sell-out in years gone by attracted a crowd of 52,591 - meaning there were 9,909 empty seats around the ground for that particular fixture.

The figure dropped to as low as just 40,859 for the visit of west London outfit Brentford on 18 October - a Saturday match - while the meetings with Newcastle United and Crystal Palace also drew sub 50,000 crowds.

While the club regularly post an attendance figure of or close to the current stadium capacity of 62,500, the actual average gate for the eight opening Premier League fixtures of the 2025/26 season averaged at just 49,221 - some 12,279 seats below capacity each and every week.
