West Ham United have completed the signing of Venezuelan winger Keiber Lamadrid on loan for the remainder of the season.
Lamadrid, 22, moves from South America to England with view to securing a permanent contract come the summer, with West Ham holding an option to make the deal permanent for around £1million."I thank God, first of all, and all the people who helped me get here," said Lamadrid. "I also thank my family, who always supported me. For me, it's a dream to be here.
"I'm excited to grow as a person, as a player, and I want to do well at this club. I want to adapt as quickly as possible, to continue growing as a player and open doors again for Venezuelan football. Nothing is impossible."
The forward, whose capture is thought to have been driven by current chairman David Sullivan will initially join the development squad, with view to being promoted to the senior squad at some point.
Lamadrid will initially concentrate on gaining match fitness, having not played since December following the conclusion of the Liga FUTVE.
