West Ham United have confirmed a series of changes within their Women’s Academy structure as the club continues to strengthen its pathway for young talent.
The new structure will see Academy Director Kenny Brown take on a more active role in the day-to-day running of the Women’s Academy.
Brown will work closely alongside Director of Sporting Standards and Compliance Nick Irwin to help support the development environment for the Club’s emerging players. The move is designed to ensure greater alignment across the academy programme and maintain the high standards expected throughout the Club’s pathway.
A key appointment within the new structure sees Sinead Hogan join the Hammers as Head of Professional Game Academy Player Development. Hogan will oversee the development of players within the Professional Game Academy phase, focusing on helping young prospects transition towards senior football while continuing to progress technically and tactically.
Meanwhile, Nicole Farley has been promoted to the position of Women’s Under-21s Head Coach. Farley steps into the role after previously working within the academy set-up, and will now lead the U21 side as they continue to prepare players for the step into first-team football.
The changes underline the club’s commitment to building a strong development pathway within West Ham United Women, ensuring young players are given the support, coaching and opportunities needed to progress through the ranks.
