The appointment of Karim Moez Virani as a director of West Ham United FC Limited has been confirmed by Companies House.

It was revealed last week how Virani, who previously worked for West Ham and disgraced blockchain platform Socios has been appointed on a temporary basis to replace the outgoing Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Karren Brady, who left the club suddenly a fortnight ago.

And on Monday his appointment was rubber-stamped by Companies House, who confirmed his instalment as a director of the company - as you may see here.

Virani's return to West Ham was welcomed by current joint chairs Daniel Kretinsky, David Sullivan and Vanessa Gold who released a joint statement last week.

"On behalf of the Board of Directors and everyone at West Ham United, we would like to welcome Karim back to the club and wish him every success in his new role," said the statement.

“He brings great experience, expertise, vision and leadership, along with a deep understanding and knowledge of West Ham United, making him the perfect candidate to lead the Club’s day-to-day operation during this interim period.

“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal supporters for their continued, incredible backing. As we saw again at London Stadium on Saturday, the energy, commitment, unity and resilience shared among our players, coaches, staff and fans gives us great belief that we can finish this season on a high.”
