Welcome back to KUMB's latest transfer rumour round-up - five stories from around the web featuring players potentially on West Ham's shopping list, or current Hammers on the radar of other clubs...

Mateus Fernandes

The Portuguese midfielder is the most sought after of West Ham's players this summer, despite the 21-year-old failing to be selected for the national squad at this summer's World Cup Finals.

And that is likely to enable a bidding war for the 21-year-old's serviced to break out, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Paris St Germain all extremely keen to add Fernandes to their ranks - and that could ensure the Hammers receive a bumper fee this summer, with a fee upwards of £70million suggested. West Ham paid Southampton £38million to sign the promising youngster just 10 months ago.

West Ham are monitoring the situation of Sunderland forward Mayenda, who is reportedly unhappy with the limited amount of game time he has received at the Stadium of Light.

A key figure in Sunderland’s promotion from the Championship in 2024/25, the Spanish Under-21 international scored the equaliser in the play-off final win over Sheffield United. However a year on and it is understood that Mayenda, still only 21, would prefer a move in search of regular first team football. He scored 10 goals in 40 appearances during his last season in the second tier, but remains under contract until 2030.

Carlos Lopes Rodrigues

It used to be the case that West Ham's name would feature alongside clubs such as Everton, Newcastle and Bournemouth in speculative transfer features. Now it's said to be League One Leicester with whom the Hammers are vying for the signature of teenage defender Rodrigues.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, both clubs have been keeping tabs on the 18-year-old FC Alverca centre half, who is considered to be very much one for the future. Rodrigues - who holds dual nationality - featured on 11 occasions for Primeira Liga Alverca's Under 19s last season, scoring once.

Celtic's emerging 20-year-old striker is another name on the lengthy list of potentials signings cited by outgoing Head of Recruitment Max Hahn.

The Hammers are understood to have been tracking the youngster for some considerable time, going back to when he was still on Fulham's books prior to a move to Scotland last year. Having signed a four-year contract. Osmond is tied to Celtic until 2029 and made his senior debut last October under Martin O'Neill. He made a total of seven senior appearances in 2025/26, just two of which came in the Premier League.

Jean-Clair Todibo

Todibo's days at West Ham have long been numbered, even before he refused to feature for the club in the final league game of last season against Leeds United having been substituted after just 25 minutes the weekend before (at Newcastle United).

The 26-year-old former Nice defender, who also fell out with Julen Lopetegui prior to the arrival of Nuno Espirito Santo has long been considered one of the bad eggs within the West Ham changing room and Santo is desperate to move him on before the beginning of next season. However it is almost certain the club will take a considerable loss on a player who joined West Ham in August 2024 for a fee of £34million.
