West Ham United have completed the signing of highly-rated England U19 international Sienna Wareing following her departure from Manchester United.

The 18-year-old midfielder has signed her first professional contract with the Hammers, committing her future to the Club until the summer of 2029.



She becomes West Ham's fifth signing of the summer transfer window and will wear the No.19 shirt.

Wareing arrives in east London after an impressive 2025/26 campaign with Manchester United, where she was named the club's Academy U21 Player of the Year and helped the Red Devils lift the Professional Game Academy Plate. Her standout performance in the final saw her score the winning goal against Durham and earn Player of the Match honours.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Wareing expressed her excitement about the move.

"Signing my first professional contract is such a proud moment for me and my family. I'm excited to get started when we return for pre-season and to meet all of my new teammates."

The talented midfielder added that conversations with Head Coach Rita Guarino and the coaching staff convinced her that West Ham was the right place to continue her development.

Wareing's football journey began at Mill Hill Juniors before a spell with Blackburn Rovers. She joined Manchester United after a successful trial and spent seven years progressing through the club's academy system.

Her impressive form was also recognised on the international stage, earning her a first call-up to the England U19 squad in April. She went on to make three appearances during the Young Lionesses' UEFA Women's U19 European Championship qualification campaign.

Head Coach Rita Guarino welcomed the teenager to east London, "Sienna is a player that we believe has a lot of potential. She is a creative midfielder who can make things happen in the final third."

Guarino expressed confidence that Wareing will continue to develop in a West Ham shirt.
"She has recently made her debut for England U19s and I'm sure that she will continue to progress here in east London in a West Ham shirt in years to come."

The signing of Wareing shows West Ham's continued investment in emerging talent as preparations for the upcoming Barclays Women's Super League campaign gather pace.
