West Ham United and the West Ham United Foundation have been shortlisted for three awards in recognition of their work supporting local communities across east London and beyond.
The Foundation’s community hub, The Foundry, has been nominated for the Best Sports Community Scheme Social Impact Award at the Sports Business Awards. Opened in October 2025 after a major redevelopment project, The Foundry has become a central base for the Foundation’s community activities in Beckton.
The facility allows the Foundation to support more than 60,000 people every year through over 35 programmes focused on education, employment, health, wellbeing and social inclusion. It welcomes thousands of participants each week and is expected to create significant social value over the coming years.
The Foundry features a range of facilities, including a 3G football pitch, outdoor gym, health and wellbeing spaces, and a café and kitchen area. Income generated from the café helps fund free meals for people who need them most, further strengthening the Club’s impact within the community.
West Ham have also received nominations for their popular Track Nights initiative, which has been shortlisted for Best Fan Engagement Programme at the Sports Business Awards and Best Sports and Leisure Programme at the Corporate Engagement Awards.
Track Nights offers local people the chance to take part in free running sessions in a welcoming environment, whether they are experienced runners or simply looking to become more active. The events have attracted strong interest, with every edition proving highly popular among supporters and members of the local community.
Participants benefit from coaching and fitness advice from West Ham staff, while special guests have also attended. Midfielder Tomáš Souček joined one event earlier this year, sharing insights into his training and fitness as a professional athlete.
The initiative has also brought together several of the Club’s partners, with organisations including Lyca Mobile, BrewDog and Red Bull supporting recent events.
The winners of the Sports Business Awards will be announced in London on 27 November, while the Corporate Engagement Awards are scheduled to take place on 7 October.
