Soungoutou Magassa may still be a West Ham player once tonight's 11pm transfer deadline has passed.
The midfielder has barely featured so far this season and has made it clear he would like to leave the club in the wake of last May's relegation to the Championship.And despite strong interest from Crystal Palace in the French youngster, Magassa has been told he will be going nowhere if the club are unable to source a replacement ahead of this evening's deadline.
The Hammers have a number of irons in the fire as the deadline draws ever closer:
* Çaglar Soyuncu: the centre half has indicated his desire to leave Turkey and is reported to have been in contact with the Hammers
* Ben Cabango: West Ham are exploring a last-minute move for the Swansea defender and skipper.
*Adama Boiro: Bilbao's reserve left back has already begun negotiations with West Ham with regards to a season-long loan
* Everton have rejected an approach from West Ham for experienced centre half Michael Keane, who is now expected to remain on Merseyside
* Nottingham Forest defender Morato is closing in on a season-long loan switch to West Ham; Forest have accepted West Ham's terms
* West Ham's interest in Leicester City's Belgian defender Wout Faes is currently on hold; the Belgian defender is a reserve option should other bids fall through
* The Hammers have made an approach to Premier League Bournemouth regarding full back Max Aarons
* Roma defender Anass Salah-Eddine is the subject of a firm offer from West Ham, who are seeking to take the player on loan for the season
