West Ham made an impressive transfer deadline day push to add the final pieces to Nuno Espirito Santo's new-look squad.
24 hours earlier, the club confirmed the arrival of exciting young winger Ervin Austo - while central defender Morato was added to the central defensive pool on Monday evening, that announcement coinciding with the kick-off for West Ham's 4-2 win against Wolves.
Then, shortly before the UK's 11pm deadline, a Spanish radio show host announced that Adama Boiro was on his way to West Ham - a deal subsequently verified via the KUMB Forum and the club's ninth permanent deal of the summer.
And shortly after midnight, Boiro's current club, Athletic Bilbao confirmed the deal had been rubber-stamped.
"Athletic Club and West Ham United have reached an agreement for the loan of left-back Adama Boiro until the end of the season," read a statement on the Spanish club's website.
"The defender, with a contract until 30 June 2029, has participated in 45 games with the first team, one of them this season against FC Barcelona.
"Boiro is already in London to sign for the London club, who are looking to regain their position in the Premier League under Nuno Espirito Santo."
Born in Senegal to parents originally from Guinea, Boiro moved to Spain with his family as a young child. He began his career with Osasuna B before moving to current club, Bilbao in 2024.

It has also been confirmed that the arrangement bringing Boiro to east London includes an option to make the deal permanent next summer.
